Listening to all the rehearsal dinner speeches from the night before, I thought people were going a little overboard for Gracie. Friends raved about her pezaz and zest for life, her ability to make anyone feel like family, her infectious energy. I had met her more than once already, and instantly liked her, but at the same time I thought...this all can't be true. That was until the next day, when I feel like I met Gracie for the first time. Her energy was boundless. I lost count at how many times she bust into a split, or started singing a show tune at full blast, or grabbed an unsuspecting victim and started dancing...and that was just in the hotel room. She was a whirlwind and a complete joy to be around. Her enthusiam was contagious. She works for Burger King Corporate (hence all the BK swag) and I hope she is in the right profession...because I'm pretty sure she could do anything she wanted.
Ok, so on to the wedding. It was beautiful, as you would imagine. Everything happened within a two block radius, which is how I like it. The Roosevelt Hotel is stunning, Immaculate Conception is in the running for the most beautiful church in New Orleans (which is saying something), and the Orpheum is definitely one of my favorite venues in the city. We dodged the torrential downpours and everything turned out perfect. Sam, you are one lucky guy...which is pretty much what I say to all the grooms.
Enjoy a quick preview of a beautiful New Orleans wedding.
