You should already know by now- Super Sunday is my favorite day in New Orleans. I just love it. This year I decided to bust out my favorite new toy, the Pentax 67.
Shooting any kind of action or movement on the Pentax 67 is a bit of a challenge. This is a BEAST of a camera. It is not very comfortable to hold or to frame a shot. It’s manual everything. It is not an ideal street camera. All that being said, it is a perfect portrait camera. These results speak for themselves. There is just something about a 6x7 negative that will spoil you. The detail is insane. Even the standard Noritsu lab scans come back at a whopping 31.6 megapixels, and you could clearly get a higher res scan than that. These prints will blow you away.
Anyway…enjoy a few portraits from Super Sunday.
