This collection of images explores the small dying communities that once thrived along the Mississippi, and beyond.  Mostly shot on a tiny pocketable 35mm film camera, I always considered these photos “extra”, almost behind-the-scenes snapshots of my “real” work.  But I soon found the imperfect and gritty nature of this small medium perfectly suited to these empty and broken landscapes, especially when all put together.  Thus, All Over But the Dying was born…a prequel if you will, to a much larger and ongoing project about our past, time, and changing courses.
