Things kicked off early in Treme on Fat Tuesday. Like 5am early. In a tradition that started over 200 years ago, the North Side Skull & Bones Gang walks the neighborhood and literally knocks on doors, waking people up and often inviting themselves in for an early morning drink. No one seemed to mind. It was my first time to witness this tradition, and it was a beautiful start to a great day in New Orleans.
Enjoy a few photos from Treme.
